About Speaker

Dr. Sarjeev Singh Yadav did his BSc Honors from prestigious Osmania University. He obtained his graduation from Madras Dental College in 1989. Post graduation in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics from GDC&H, Hyderabad in 1994.

In a career spanning over more than 28 years, he achieved several distinctions as an UG, PG, and Ph.D. examiner and paper setter for various universities at India and abroad. He is a teacher par excellence, guide, mentor as well as a clinician. Dr. Yadav was awarded a Life time achievement award in 2016 by IDA Telangana State.

Dr. Yadav is associated with active clinical research and presented a good number of papers at many national conferences. He is credited with 20 publications in International & National journals & has authored, contributed chapters to text books. Dr. Yadav is credited with original research Notation System. “Sarjeev’s Supernumerary Tooth Notation System”.

Dr. Yadav is editorial board member of 7 Indexed journals. He has given many 162 keynote lectures and has conducted guest lecturers, workshops, Hands on Courses at various National, State level conferences such as IACDE, IES, IDA, Indian Medical Association & Zonal CDE, & for various universities such as Dr. NTRUHS RGUHS, KNRUHS, and many Deemed Universities. He has presented/ moderated 32 webinars for various International, National, State organisations/ associations in both Govt and PVT sectors.

Dr. Yadav is also a member of Speaker Bank of IACDE. Consultant & Chief Investigator Basic drug research @Hereto, Aurobindo, and Cipla. Dr. Yadav is a Certified HIV Counsellor. Dr. Yadav is a DIPLOMATE in BIO- MEDICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT & Right to Information Act. GOVT. of INDIA.

Abstract : Immediate Implants After Extraction and Provisionalization for Better Emergence Profile

Immediate implant placement following tooth extraction, coupled with provisionalization, is a well-documented approach to optimize both esthetic and functional outcomes. This technique has gained prominence due to its ability to preserve peri-implant soft and hard tissue structures, minimize treatment time, and improve patient satisfaction.

The procedure involves placing a dental implant into a fresh extraction socket immediately after tooth removal, followed by the attachment of a provisional restoration. This approach offers several advantages, including maintaining the alveolar ridge contour, reducing the risk of soft tissue collapse, and promoting favorable healing. Additionally, the immediate provisionalization shapes the peri-implant soft tissue to establish an ideal emergence profile, which is critical in esthetically demanding areas such as the anterior maxilla.

Key factors influencing the success of immediate implants include primary implant stability, careful atraumatic extraction, and precise placement of the implant to achieve an optimal three-dimensional position. Moreover, the provisional restoration must be meticulously designed to avoid excessive forces on the implant during osseointegration while ensuring the desired soft tissue architecture.

However, challenges such as patient selection, anatomical limitations, and clinician experience must be carefully considered. Future advancements in implant materials and digital planning technologies especially static surgical guides and Dynamic navigation are likely to enhance the predictability and success of this technique further.

He has got special training AT “MEMORIAL SLOAN KETTERING CANCER CENTER” in the Department Of Head And Neck Oncology, NEW YORK one of world renowned cancer centre.
His research work on “SENTINEL LYMPH NODE BIOPSY IN ORAL CANCER” was selected for Oral Paper Presentation in International Cancer Conference “ACOS” and was well appreciated.
He has performed more than 1200 cancer surgeries at that hospital in last 4 years.

Abstract : Management of Oral Cancer and Role of Dental Surgeon

Oral cancer accounts for approximately 5% of all cancers globally, while in India it is about 40% of all types of cancer. It is estimated, that in India nearly 60,000 new cases of oral cancer are reported annually. It is disheartening to notice that over 5 people in India die every hour every day because of oral cancer indicating that the disease is highly fatal in nature. Dentists play a critical role in detecting and preventing oral cancer by Oral Examinations, Risk Assessment, Education and Counselling, Referrals and Collaboration, Follow-up and Monitoring. This talk emphasises on details of oral cancer diagnosis and treatment, also role of dental surgeon.
